- The Installation Dinner is on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Saki’s Spin-a-Yarn Restaurant, 45915 Warm Springs Blvd in Fremont. Sign-up at the Christmas party or contact me before the end of 2009 to reserve your seat. My phone number and email are on the front page. Cancellations will only be accepted with 24 hour advance notice. No-host cocktails will begin at 4:30pm with the dinner being served promptly at 5:30pm, followed by board and officer installment, award presentations and bingo. The four menu options are Steak $35, Chicken Cordon Bleu $30, Salmon $32 and Eggplant Parmesan $22. One drink will be provided by the club, and dinners include bread, salad, side and dessert. Club members receive a $10 discount on their meal. Those who pre-sold two books of tickets for the prize drawing at our coin show, as well as board members and officers who served the previous year receive their meal compliments of the club.
- The Christmas Party will start at 7pm on Tuesday, December 8. To save time for the festivities, there will be no auction. There will be an all-gold prize drawing and cake after a visit from a special friend for gifts and photos.
- The Fremont Coin Club won’t have any club meetings between the Christmas Party and the first club meeting of 2010 on January 26.
- Jeanna Keegan and Girl Scout Troop 30120 would like to thank everyone for their support in helping the troop meet their goal in nut sales.
- Due to a significant drop in sales for the prize drawing, the number of prizes offered in 2010 will decrease if such trend continues.

It’s not too early to start thinking about a design for the next club medal due in 2011. If memory serves me correctly, the design competition will occur mid to late 2010, so the medal can be produced for the next year.
Also, if you would consider sharing a numismatic topic with us at a club meeting or know of someone who would, let Bruce Caires know so we can begin filling the calendar for 2010! Presenting a program isn’t hard, and we don’t bite. Take a chance and do something different in the new year. Your participation in the club benefits us all.
